Hey guys, got some X-Files 2 news for you.Just got off the phone with an old Canuck film buddy of mine. While discussing the many projects he's been working on lately, I asked him about The X-Files, and more specifically, about those werewolf pictures that popped up on the net a couple of weeks ago. After chuckling a bit, he said that Chris Carter knows what he's doing, and that the werewolf did exactly what it was supposed to do- throw people off the X-Files scent.Translation? Those photos that appeared online were nothing more than a hoax by the production!!!Clever Carter and his misinformatio ...
X-Files July 25The Basics: The truth is out there somewhere. But the director Chris Carter isn't offering it. He promises only that the new film won't involve the alien colonization plotline that was a staple of the TV series and 1998 movie. Instead, it will be akin to the episodes that favored monsters, cults and paranormal. The Bait: Mulder e Scully. X-Files brings back David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as the believer-and-skeptic team, a coupling that Carter says still resonates. "When we first got on set and I saw them together, I got chills", he says. "They've always had a chemistry that ... [Continua a leggere]

[Continua a leggere]
Apparently, the truth is still out there. Which would explain why The X-Files will be back out there this summer, when the second movie version of the series hits theaters. Plot details are more closely guarded than an alien autopsy, but creator Chris Carter does have a few clues to offer eager X-Files fans who have been waiting for more since the Fox show ended in 2002. FBI Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) will still be at the center of the story, and Studio 60's Amanda Peet and rapper Xzibit have been added to the cast as fellow agents."This is really a c ... It's a surreal affair at the Beverly Hilton, starless and strange
Sunday night at the Golden Globe Awards announcement, you really didn't.Strike-torn and starved of stars, the Globes were thrown, sort of. The nominees were left to feel their schadenfreude and/or exultation from some discreet location, skipping the formal dinner in a show of solidarity with their union brethren at the Writers Guild of America, which remains in a standoff with Hollywood producers.Without Clooney and Clint, or Angelina and Meryl, it was left to the entertainment press to gather at the heavily fortified Beverly Hilton to hear the names of the winners -- if not see them in the fl ... Globes awards recipients share reactions
Most of the evening's Golden Globe winners were at hotels when their names were announced -- just not at the Beverly Hilton. "Atonement" producer Paul Webster watched the announcement with director Joe Wright, thesps James McAvoy and Saoirse Ronan and other crew members in a bungalow at the Chateau Marmont in Beverly Hills, glasses of champagne at the ready. "We were lucky enough to be able to pop the cork," said Webster, who added that he didn't feel cheated because "everyone's been treated the same. Somehow you find a way to celebrate when the good news comes out." So, should this truncat ... [Continua a leggere]

Creativity seems to be an indefinable something that separates the artist from the rest of the world. You never know just what’s going to trigger it. For Jim Carrey it was a teacher, for Gillian Anderson it was failing an audition, for Tim Burton it was digging in his heels. “I was in the second grade and my teacher was playing a record,” recalls Carrey. “I was mocking all the musicians. She said, `If you’re going to do that, do it in front of the whole class.’ And they went nuts. She asked me to do it at the Christmas assembly and from then on that was the ... [Continua a leggere]
Gillian Anderson, best known to American audiences as Agent Dana Scully of the F.B.I., from the Fox television show “The X-Files,” will be one of the new hosts of “Masterpiece Theater” on PBS when it begins its new season on Jan. 13, the program’s producers plan to announce today. Naming Ms. Anderson as a host is part of a broad overhaul of the look and scheduling of “Masterpiece Theater,” now 37 years old, intended to bring in more viewers by getting rid of some of the packaging that Rebecca Eaton, the program’s executive producer, said was beg ...
