Transcript (Slight adjustments were made to cut out issues with audio interference.) Moderator: Our first question comes from the line of Jamie Ruby with SciFi Vision. Please go ahead. Jamie: SciFi Vision. Hi, Chris. Thanks for talking to us. Really appreciate it. Great to talk to you again. CC: You’re welcome. Jamie: First, I just want to say I’ve been a huge fan of the show from the beginning. I really loved the first three episodes that they let us watch. My first question kind of is a part from the old series, a part from the new series. It kind of goes with both. I was won ... [Continua a leggere]

DD: This show I'm proud of. I think it's got, overall, if we did 203, and I think we did, there are over 100 that I think are really really good, and almost movie-worthy, so I'm stunned by that quality of writing and execution, still.CC: I remember the first day, in Mulder's office, we were filming that. You saw that these two very strong people. When people talk about the chemistry, I think sometimes that is a misconception. I think it is two strong people who are really bouncing off one another, and that's what makes it interesting, and that's what gives it I think what the so-called "sexual ... [Continua a leggere]
DD: We've always wanted to do it,Chris, Frank, Gillian, and I. It wasn't like "oh I hate that show I got to get off", it was always, "well this has been almost a decade doing this, we need to move on and do other things." We have done other things and this six years later, for all of us. We were very happy to come back and do this. We loved doing it. We loved the show, we loved each other, we love to continue with it.DD: Well it was interesting. It was interesting to take a character I started in 1993, left alone 6 years ago, and kinda make it 15 years older. Make it, you know, how have I chan ... [Continua a leggere]

Adam: Yes, that iconic music signals that the X-Files have been reopened. A brand new movie version of the supernatural investigations of FBI Agents Mulder and Scully is now in cinemas. As ever, Scully, the scientist, is the definitive cynic, but Mulder errs on the side of the unworldly. In an exclusive interview, I spoke to Chris Carter, creator of the TV series and director of the new film, X-Files: I Want To Believe. Adam: I started by asking him how long we've been missing Mulder and Scully. CC: Yes, you've been missing them for six years if you were a fan of the TV show, ten years ... [Continua a leggere]
The X-Files: I Want To Believe hits UK cinemas tomorrow and we have an exclusive featurette including interviews with Chris Carter (Director/Screenwriter), David Duchovny (Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully). Six years after the TV series ended, this film sees Mulder and Scully....well, we can't tell you. It's all top secret, so we can't say anything about the plot involving giant space dragons who shoot lazers from their eyes and turns Earth's inhabitants into piles of pudding. Aww, dagnabbit!
(trailer begins)(UNKLE's remix of the X-Files theme plays)(trailer/footage with the theme remix plays throughout this video, in between CC/DD/GA's comments)CC: The specific vision I had was, uh, well - I wanted to scare people.DD: There is a strong relationship between Mulder and Scully and it's not the primary focus of the movie. The primary focus of the movie is the ride, is the case, the procedural. What the bad guys are trying to do in this movie is something that Chris has rightly been trying to keep under wraps.CC: There's an extra element to the movie fundamental to the X-Files idea. It ... Richard: Good timing, because she’s starting on the day that after years and years and years of us trying, we have finally get David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson live on the show. They are sitting over there. Those two have dropped in on their way to the premiere of the new X-Files movie. Now I saw it this morning, I’m telling you, it’s really, really good. You need strong nerves and even stronger stomach. David and Gillian are here now. This whole concept is very X-Files, we’ll come to that. But it is a coincidence that we have Agents Mulder and Scully here, the actor ... [Continua a leggere]
JK: Our first guest tonight is a Golden Globe, Screen Actor's Guild, and Emmy award winning actor for her as FBI Special Agent Dana Scully, and is the world record holder for most restraining orders held against obsessed sci-fi fans than any person i history. You can see her now in the new movie The X-Files: I Want to Believe, please say hello to Gillian Anderson!*audience cheers wildly*GA: *pointing to Uncle Frank* I love your uncle!JK: Normally you only get that kind enthusiasm when an Iglesias shows up. What a wonderful actor you are.GA: Thank you very much.DL: Nice job.GA: Are you sucking up to me?DL: Yeah, *laughs*. DD: I think a movie like this, you know without being too heavy, deals with what do these two people believe in. We've known them for a long time. We know what Mulder believes in, we know what Scully believes in. But what this movie is about, through a certain case that challenges both of them, they come to believe in themselves, you know. Love almost, in a weird, romantic way. You never think The X-Files is about love, but in a way this movie is about love conquering all these stuff that love, at the end of the day, is more important than what Mulder believes or what Scully believes. *clips f ... *bunch fan interview about whether they liked the movie or not*Reelz: Forget about aliens, this X-Files movie, I Want to Believe, is a stand-alone story about kidnapping, murder, and the twisted mystery of the human faith.DD: It's the same Mulder and Scully as on the series, it's about respect, and back and forth, opposition and love.Reelz: I'm a believer now. Because this movie came out so many years later, and the television show is not on the air anymore, you felt like you had more freedom?CC: We had the freedom to sorta of step back and say, "Where would these characters be now?" They've b ... [Continua a leggere]
FOX: *random advertising junk* For 9 years, The X-Files had us glued to our seats every week. The weird stories, the wild and paranormal phenomenon, and of course, Agents Mulder and Scully. And now, six years after we said goodbye to the show, it's back, as a movie. The X-Files: I Want to Believe, opens this Friday. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are back. Though David admits that with the story picking up several years after the show ended, it was a little difficult to figure out who Mulder had become. DD: In some way it's trickier than creating something new, because you have something ... [Continua a leggere]
FOX: Chemistry is hard, how did you guys do this again?DD: We are just lucky as actors to play well off one another. And it's kinda been that way from the beginning when we were waiting to go to read for the network. I forget that I came up to you? Or just we just started running lines together before we went in there, so...GA: You were trying to pick me up.DD: Was I? *GA laughs* Was I? Do you think I was? GA: I don't. no no no, I didn't say that.DD: I never! There was something even then that put us together and even when we were doing the show, no matter what kind troubles we had as people o ... DM: Last night TV's most iconic agents were back on the job at the LA Premiere of The X-Files: I Want to Believe, which comes a decade after the first X-Files movie that premiered. When our own Ben Lyon sat down with the stars, they covered the basics, you know, sex, drug, rockin' roll, in our number 3 story.BL: I love how the full title of the film is The X-Files: I Want to Believe. One of the things in your everyday life now, what are the things that are in your career that you believe in?GA: Woah, serious question! In having children later, I've got a 20-month old and obviously one on the w ... [Continua a leggere]
FOX: For X-Files stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, the hardest thing for them to return to The X-Files was remembering the complicated plotline.GA: I remember nothing.DD: I remember odd details that don't make any sense.GA: No. The important things like having a baby...DD: Yeah we forgot about that. We forgot we had a baby.GA: Yeah, forgot about that.FOX: Even six years after the show went off the air, fans still ask about the two actors reuniting on projects like David's hit Showtime series Californication.DD: It's very funny. You know, I've been... I have been blogging for the movie ... [Continua a leggere]
