*clips from trailer*Ryan Rotten: Having seen the movie last night, you know, it really dawned on us that it’s your movie. It’s not about creature of week kinda thing. I was really shocked by that. Was that kind a surprise? I mean you got got the script and…DD: We never thought of it that way. You know, I was thought of it as the caper, or the gag, or whatever, so I think the idea, the heart of the movie is important, thrilling, and mysterious and hard to guess as you are going along. But Chris had always said that the heart of the movie is the relationship between Mulder and ... [Continua a leggere]
On 20th Century Fox's scoring stage, producer Frank Spotnitz and composer Mark Snow seem to share the energetic second wind of two artist who know they're in the home stretch. Months after we were invited out to the set of The X-Files: I Want to Believe(read Ryan Rotten's report here), the pair are overseeing the scoring of the same scene we witnessed with intense, booming notes that mark a decided departure from the television series to something much grander on-screen. ShockTillYouDrop.com spoke to Gillian Anderson on the set of Fox's new X-Files sequel, opening in theaters on July 25th.
ShockTillYouDrop.com: Why return to the X-Files after all of this time?Gillian Anderson: I think that I've always made it pretty clear, no matter what has been rumored in the press, that were we to come together, or were somebody to get it together to do a film, that I would be happy, willing and hopefully able to participate. There were a few times there where it looked like it might not happen, but there are many times when I, when people were saying it was going to happen, didn't believe it was going to happen. I was always on board, no matter else what I was doing at my time in my life.Sho ... [Continua a leggere]
ShockTillYouDrop.com spoke to David Duchovny on the set of Fox's new X-Files sequel, opening in theaters on July 25th.
ShockTillYouDrop: So much about the plot is being kept in the dark, so what can you tell us about some of the themes of the film?David Duchovny: I think the reasoning behind being mum about what's going on the film, at least for Chris, is to give the audience an experience of surprise which is so hard to do with trailers. Having said that, the themes are the same as the show [which were] belief and faith and the relationship between Mulder and Scully and how that develops over the past four or five years the show has been off the air. As if they've been living, as we've all been living ... [Continua a leggere]
It began with a werewolf. I'm speaking about my interest, that is, in 20th Century Fox's brand spankin' new X-Files feature film. But for the sake of explanation and full disclosure, allow me to back up and come clean about a few things. As a fan once living in New York City, I attended one of the first X-Files fan conventions at the Javits Center. First in line. Opening day. Stamp "Chick Magnet" on me now. Yes, I had an appreciation of the show and, like so many out there, my fascination with the quest for truth - spearheaded by Fox Mulder and Dana Scully - checked out the back door when the ...
