David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were together onstage for their very first convention at the 2008 Wonder Con in San Francisco. The packed crowd went wild as Duchovny and Anderson hit the stage to promote the upcoming X-Files movie. You guys got greeted like rock stars when you walked out on stage. David Duchovny: "Yeah, yeah. It's interesting. I wish I would have had a guitar." You would have played it? David Duchovny: "Well I don't play. I wish I had a guitar and I wish I could play the guitar." And sing maybe? David Duchovny: "And I wish I could sing. So, you made me feel inadequate." B ... [Continua a leggere]

Gillian Anderson was filming the still-untitled X-Files movie into the early morning hours and then had to hop on a plane to San Francisco for Wonder Con. That long schedule didn't keep Anderson from chatting enthusiastically about the new film. How does that feel when you walk out on the stage and everyone screams? Gillian Anderson: "It's been a really long time since I've heard that so it's, you know, it's cool. It's great that everybody's made the effort to come out and just show their support. I think it's good for us to know that there's still an audience out there." Did you doubt that? ... [Continua a leggere]
Chris Carter, creator of The X-Files, told SCI FI Wire that the upcoming second movie will be a stand-alone story that represents the best of the series. "This movie takes some of the most, I think, essential themes of The X-Files and incorporates them and puts them to the test," Carter said in a group interview at WonderCon in San Francisco on Feb. 23. "I think that for me, so much of The X-Files was about skepticism, but it was also about faith, and I think that plays a big part [in] this movie." The plotline of the as-yet-unnamed sequel remains a big secret--so much so that neither ... [Continua a leggere]
Mulder and Scully themselves sit down behind-the-scenes at Wondercon to talk about re-opening The X-Files
During this weekend's Wondercon MovieWeb was able to go behind-the-scenes of the convention floor to have a secret little chat with actor David Duchonvy and actress Gillian Anderson to talk about coming back to The X-Files after a 6 year hiatus from the show ended. The truth follows...Earlier it was stated that we get to see the characters in a whole new way...David Duchovny: In the general sense, there's a journey to be had. You either start at the top or the bottom for a journey to happen. Our movie has to start at the top and work it's way down. Or start at the bottom and work it's way up.H ... [Continua a leggere]
The director and producer sit down behind-the-scenes at Wondercon to spill the beans on Mulder and Scully latest mystery
X-Files creators and writers Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz sat down to talk, or more appropriately, vaguely drop hints about the upcoming X-Files movie at this year's Wondercon during a small roundtable behind-the-scenes, and MovieWeb was there to get the goods. Check out what they had to say about aliens, Mulder, Scully, the infamous werewolf and much more...So, how did you first come up with X-Files?Frank Spotnitz: Oh gosh, I've told this story so many times. It was inspired by so many different things, including Kolchak: The Night StalkerIn a quick, pitch version of this movie, what's it ... [Continua a leggere]
We have movie clip impressions along with a chat with the stars!
Snow and FBI agents with sticks -- that's pretty much all that can be said of the 20th Century Fox footage that was revealed at WonderCon this weekend for The X-Files 2. The first look at the onscreen reunion of agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) began with a shot of Scottish actor Billy Connolly uttering, "It's here..." as a team of FBI agents prodded a snow-covered field with long sticks in search of, uh, the truth? Before the audience was even able to wrap its collective brain around what could possibly be buried in the snow, the teaser cut to a number of ... [Continua a leggere]
Get ready, X-Files fans. Series creator Chris Carter and original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have heard your prayers for more tales of agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, and they're about to answer them! The three genre legends appeared at Wondercon earlier today, and offered FEARnet, and the con's other attendees, the first glimpse of footage shown anywhere of the second X-Files film, due out in theaters this July. The footage was brief, running just two or three minutes, and was crudely edited (though Carter, later backstage, referring to it as a trailer, explained that even h ... [Continua a leggere]
The X Files 2 Frank Spotnitz - Chris Carter - David Duchovny - Gillian Anderson
The tag for the day was "It's here!"Showed trailer for movie. Trailer didn't show much. Overuse of quick cut scenes don't tell you very much. Only saw Amanda Peet, Billy Connolly, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The trailer opens up with line of FBI/Police with dogs and long sticks searching a large "snow covered meadow". Billy Connolly is in front saying, "It's here." Repeatedly. Several quick cuts from other scenes, show other three actors, and it keeps coming back to Connolly's character moving through the meadow saying "It's here." He gets progressively louder and more strident, and f ... [Continua a leggere]

The X-Files are back, not on your television screen (thankfully), but in an all-new, apparently eagerly anticipated, big(ger) budgeted feature-length film. Creator/producer/writer Chris Carter is back, as are David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, respectively. Also on hand was Frank Spotniz, series writer, producer, and co-writer of the new, as yet untitled (or un-subtitled) sequel. The Wonder-Con audience eagerly cheered the four members of the panel. All four were in town after working yesterday on the still-in-production ... [Continua a leggere]
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. So, technically this was the 20th Century Fox panel, but it might has well have been called the Fox and Scully hour. That’s what people wanted to see.Poor Thai horror remake SHUTTER, all about spirit photography, was stuck before the big X-FILES 2 panel and even the hot Aussie from TRANSFORMERS and Hiro’s sidekick couldn't make much of a difference. You could feel the audience just politely waiting for that panel to end so the X-FILES panel would start. I’ll give them a little tribute. The footage looked a little crappy, although the usage of real ... [Continua a leggere]
Gillian Anderson, who reprises the role of FBI agent Dana Scully in the upcoming sequel to The X-Files film, told SCI FI Wire that it took her a while to reacquaint herself with the character she last played in 2002, when the long-running Fox TV series went off the air. Anderson strove over the intervening years to distance herself from the character with which she had been associated for so long to the point that it took her about two days to allow Scully to re-emerge, she said. "It's an interesting conundrum to deal with on a daily basis, and sometimes it's pleasurable, and sometimes it's ju ... [Continua a leggere]
We just got treated to a very brief clip from the new X-Files movie trailer, featuring a group of mysterious FBI types marching across the icy antarctic snows, with Ringo from the Lone Gunman in the lead, crying out, "We've found it!" Cut to lightning fast clips of a body being dragged over ice, Scully looking hotter than hell, Mulder looking not so bad himself, and lots of zoomy blurred stuff. No shots of Exhibit or Billy Connely, though Chris Carter did confirm for the millionth time that they would be in the film along with Amanda Peet as a federal agent. No word about that giant werewolf w ... [Continua a leggere]
Carter, Spotnitz, Anderson and Duchovny reunite at WonderCon to discuss their upcoming film.
Perhaps one of the biggest crowd pleasers of this year's WonderCon show was 20th Century Fox's presentation for the new The X-Files 2 movie. In attendance were series creator Chris Carter and writer Frank Spotnitz, as well as stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny. Right out of the gate, the group addressed the issues associated with the franchise's six year long absence."Because it'll scare the pants off of you," answered Carter when asked why this movie would be worth the wait. "Because you'll get to see Mulder and Scully together again, that's why."That said, Carter did elaborate on the ... [Continua a leggere]
Report by Anthony Duignan-Cabrera“It’s here!”The teaser trailer from the forthcoming X Files movie, that is.Fans at WonderCon were treated to the edgy clip Saturday afternoon which included scenes of dozens of FBI agents walking a line in the snow, poking the ground in search of something, led by the wild-haired Scottish comedian Billy Connolly (is there any other kind of Billy Connolly?). The trailer also includes glimpses of Agents Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) running, looking serious and pensive, leading to a crescendo with Connolly’ ...
