The 12th annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles will open with Sold, an Indian child trafficking drama starring Gillian Anderson and executive produced by Emma Thompson. Kolkata seems to have caught the fancy of Oscar-winning director Jeffrey D Brown, who has been spotted shooting his first fiction feature film at different locales in the City of Joy. Actress Gillian Anderson of The X Files fame joined the film’s cast and crew three days ago. Jeffrey has been in the city for nearly 25 days.
