20th Century Fox Television's efforts to go green last year to bring the Vancouver-shot The X-Files back to primetime has earned creator Chris Carter a tribute at the upcoming Vancouver Film Festival. Carter will receive an industry builder award for environmental sustainable steps taken with the revival series on set, such as efficient electricity and fuel use, recycling aluminum and steel used in set construction and avoiding CO2 emissions where possible.
