The X-Files creator Chris Carter is nearing a return to the small screen. Amazon has picked up to pilot The After, a post-apocalyptic drama that Carter is attached to write and direct, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. NBC has found two leading ladies for its drama thriller pilot from Rand Ravich. The X Files' Gillian Anderson and 666 Park Avenue's Rachael Taylor have been tapped to star in the drama from Life's Ravich, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Gillian Anderson is going from The X-Files to Hannibal. The actress is poised to return to broadcast television with a multiple-episode role in NBC's Bryan Fuller Hannibal drama, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
