INT: David Duchovny

David Duchovny is not an easy interview. That's not to say he's a difficult or quiet actor in a Tommy Lee Jones kind of way. But he is one of the smartest people I've ever interviewed. Never flaunting his intelligence, you could just tell listening to his responses. And as a journalist, that keeps you on your toes. I expected him to be more uncomfortable talking about his return to THE X-FILES after all these years but he was very zen about his return and the difficulties he had during the last years of the series. As far as secrets? Well you'll have to read on... Does it feel like old ... [Continua a leggere]

INT: Gillian Anderson

I'd just spent a few hours listening Gillian Anderson film a scene on THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE. Sadly all I could hear were loud footsteps and a slammed door (which Anderson would later say was just an accident). I thought for sure I could get her to spill the beans. And Gillian Anderson was proving to be a tough target as well. In the back by the monitors though was a guy with a headset pulled over his shaggy hair. He had an intense look on his face. It was Frank Spotnitz, co-writer and producer of THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE. He wrote the script for chrissake, he's gotta know something. With that I clicked on my tape record and let the questions fly... How psyched are you to be back? FS: ... [Continua a leggere]

Set Visit: X-Files 2!

I’m standing inside Mulder’s office staring up at the pencils stuck up in the ceiling tile. Clutter is all around. Newspaper clippings, post-it notes, mysterious photographs are stuck on the wall, piled on the desk and stuffed in files. As you might expect, it’s very Mulder-esque. This is Mulder’s office. I’m here doing my own investigation. It’s as mysterious and cryptic as the best episodes of “The X-Files” set. My assignment: find out what the hell is going on on the set of the X-FILES sequel. "I Want To Believe " Behind an abandon ... [Continua a leggere]
