Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny on board for third 'X Files' movie

At New York's Paley Center for Media "X Files" panel over the weekend, stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny talked about a possibly third movie iteration of the popular television show that ran from 1993 to 2002. The first two movies came out in 1998 and 2008.

"All the principals are on board. Gillian and I want to do it, so it's really up to Twentieth Century Fox at this point," says Duchovny. Anderson adds, "If it takes fan encouragement to get Fox interested in that then I guess that's what it would be."

The two also were split about whether they think Mulder and Scully have gotten married -- Duchovny thinks they are, Anderson isn't sure -- but either way, they helped a fan propose to his girlfriend at the "X Files" Comic-Con event over the weekend as well.

The Daily Mail has pictures of "X Files" fan Miguel Acuna and his girlfriend Morgan Childs on stage at the panel. After Acuna held up a diamond ring and said:

What I got from the show was how important it is to have a really good partner. Someone who challenges what you think, sometimes thinks the complete opposite, sometimes thinks the way you do, and will always support you. So with that, I actually have a request and a question. The request is if I could have your blessing, and the question actually is to my girlfriend. 'Will you do the honor of marrying me?

And Duchovny invited them up on stage. Awww.
